About Me

My name is Pedro J. Crespo (Seville, 1972). A lifelong lover of wood, my artistic vocation was further strengthened in 2023 when I joined ConTornos, the School of Woodturners in Santa Cristina de la Polvorosa (Zamora, Spain). I have always been drawn to sculpture, and discovering creative woodturning has opened up an unlimited field for experimentation and continuous learning—one that I am eager to share with the world. Welcome to Kresspo. Woodturning Art Studio (www.kresspostudio.com).

I work and experiment with woodturning, approaching it as a sculptural practice.

I create hand-turned pieces, sculptures, and functional objects for homes, restaurants, audiovisual productions, galleries, and more.

These are contemporary pieces designed to endure, focused on simplicity and crafted from wood sourced from our natural environment in northwestern Spain.

I live and develop my artistic practice—as well as my professional work as an academic book editor and publisher (www.comunicacionsocial.es)—in Manganeses de la Lampreana (Zamora, Spain). This location, set on the western edge of the Castilian-Leonese plateau, is defined by endless horizons beneath vast skies and surrounded by farmland where wood is, in fact, scarce. This compels me, like the steppe wolves that inhabit these lands, to venture out in search of the raw material that sustains my work.
